Over time, your Orchid Bark may begin to degrade, gradually losing the ability to hold vital nutrients to support a growing specimen. Why not give your green friend a new lease of life with our peat-free, sustainably-sourced Orchid Bark?
Mix 1 contains just medium-grade bark to encourage better air flow within the rootball and pot itself. The average diameter of a Mix 1 bark fragment is 2cm, which will allow small air pockets to harvest oxygen for the roots to benefit from.
This Mix is Great for:
The second mix comprises a perfect blend of Coir, Perlite, Bark & Vermiculite to aid further growth to all other Orchids like Dendrobiums, Cambria, Oncidiums, etc. This group of Orchids prefer to have 40% bark, with 50% Coconut Coir base, and 10% perlite. If you'd like to have a slightly different balance made for a specific Orchid of yours, write this in the "Delivery Note to Us" section above!
This Mix is Great for:

For the last six years, we have been formulating composts for our houseplants, balancing the critical ingredients for different groups (Bonsai, Bulbs, Cacti, Tropicals, etc.), with varying ratios of compost, perlite, grit & sand. We believe that a well-structured soil is critical for maximising both the root and foliar growth performance. We source the compost from well-respected companies in the U.K., which has tight restrictions over quality control & environmental regulations/promises.
